Aeon Timeline version 0.9.5 is now available for download.
Version 0.9.5 fixes a couple of crashes reported from version 0.9.3 and adds the ability to import events from text documents.
The main purpose of releasing this beta is to extend the expiry date ahead of the final release, which will be made in the next month or so once I have completed all of the background work required to release a piece of software – websites and support forums and the like.
Barring any significant bugs, this will be the final beta release before the official commercial release of the product.
There are a number of very good suggestions that have been pushed to the post-1.0 list, and I intend to implement many of them after the commercial release, but after more than three years of work, I need to draw the beta period to a close and actually get some return on all of the time I have invested.
Aeon Timeline supports automatic updates, which means you will be notified whenever an update is available, and able to download it directly within the program. If the program does not alert you automatically, you can choose ‘Check for Updates…’ from the Aeon Timeline menu.
Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the application by clicking on the Latest Version link at the top of the Blog page. If you know other users who may be interested in the program and the direction the program is taking, please encourage them to take a look.
